The dress I love that I saw online has bust size 38 and waist size 30. I wanted to know if this is average or how does it work? My bust is 38 but my waist is 33. If I wear something to suck me in will that do the trick? Please, for those of you who have your dress, let me know.

The salon will order the dress according to the largest measurement on the size chart (if your bust measurement is a 14 and your waist measurement is a 10, they will order the 14) and alter the rest to fit you perfectly.
Be prepared for the skewed size charts for wedding gowns. I wore a 12 when I ordered my gown but had to order an 18.

Most gowns have at least one-two inches on each side that can be let out. I think you'll be ok with the dress you saw on line. I'd be more worried if the bust size was too small then the waist.

You don't want to wear something that will suck you in! You should be comfortable on your day! And you have to leave room for food too
