I have a question I got the call that my dress is in (YAY)So I talked to them and they told me that they are going to put the dress in storage and to make a appointment 8-6 weeks before the wedding for a fitting. This is my problem I want to see the dress and make sure its the right size and color. When I talked to them they didnt really sound like they would let me do that. Can you girls please let me know what you think and what you experience has been when your dress came in.

I ordered my dress last year. When it came in, they had me come in to inspect the dress, make sure it was the right color, size etc. Then they held it for me till my fittings later this year. I would push for it. It's your dress and if something goes wrong wouldn't you want to know about it now rather than a few weeks before the day. Good luck!

Definitely go see it and even try it on! That's what I did. Then I'm going back 6 weeks before for fitting.

I ordered my dress last April for my December 2012 wedding. When it arrived in September I made an appointment to go in try it on and make sure it was the right dress and color. I will call them back and tell them you want to see it. Just know that if you do try it on you have to pay for it in full if you haven;t already. (At least at my place you had to)

I agree with the other posts......see if you can make an appointment to see the dress. 6-8 weeks out is not enough time if something should be wrong with the dress.

Def push to see it!! you want to verify that it is exactly how you ordered it and that there is nothing wrong. Take pics of it. If you don't want to pay in full now, do not put it on, but make sure you have documentation that there is nothing wrong (stains, pulls, frays). They will be storing it for a rather long time, you want some coverage if something happens while it's in storage

Definitely insist in a nice way you see it at least to inspect it. I'm sure they've heard it a million times anyway from other brides so you don't have to feel bad about asking!

I ordered my dress through Bridal Reflections. They told me that they do just as you are asking to make sure that you still LOVE it. When I was trying on dresses there was a bride who hated her dress once it came in and was trying on new dresses to take its place. I am sure that you will STILL love your dress but I would like the peace of mind to try it on and make sure that everything is OK with it.
