wedding dress question.

I got my dress back in September. Now I'm not very happy with it. I didn't spend a lot at all. Now I'm thinking of having one made. My question is: Do I have to wear something on my shoulders if the dress is strapless? I'm getting marry at a catholic church. If any one knows the answer please let me know. Thank you for all the help.

It'll depend on your church

I was never told that's a restriction - but I'm not wearing strapless so I didn't confirm. Call your church and ask them.

Some churches ask you wear a wrap or jacket if you have a strapless gown. Mine did not. I would call and ask. But if you are unhappy with your gown now, you could try to sell it on eBay and get a new one. That is totally up to you. You can also call the bridal salon and ask them if they can try to sell it and credit you towards a new one.

I asked my priest because my bm's wore strapless dresses and I had spaghetti straps. He said he would prefer it if they were covered. My mover made wraps for everyone and then we took them off when it was time for pictures.

I agree..it depends on the church. I am getting strapless. My church never mentioned it and I didn't ask. The last two weddings I went to, both the brides and most of the bridemaids wore strapless in a Catholic Church both which had a full mass. If you are unsure and can afford another dress give them a call. If not maybe you want to invest in a nice matching wrap just for the church. That way you are safe for the church and if it is chilly out you will be warm too!!
