so I lost 84 lbs and I'm pretty thin..about a size 6, going into a 4. I used to be a size 22 btw!
OK, so I don't want a ball gown. I want something slinky and sexy. Plus, I'm 40, although i don't look it. People think I'm in my late 20s early 30s. Thank god for good genes.
So, should I look for a sheath r trumpet type dress.
I have to add, I'm really chesty. I have a 34dd chest.

Any ideas?
Congrats on the weight loss and FABULOUS genes! ...my suggestion would be to try a little bit of everything on (except the ballgown if you know you dont want that!) mermaid, fit and flair, trumpet, drop waist....
is there an amt you know you dont want to spend? i can start posting lots of pics for you! xo
also look into jasmine bridal (beautiful fitted dresses) david's bridal pronovias (ck the price range) Demetrios (also beautiful fitted dresses)

Re: wedding dress question
I;m nuts! I just called the bridal place near me and asked if they carry her. they do. They don't have the dress in but they can get it. lol.
So I'll have no place, no dj, no flowers...but I'll have a dress! lol
Somehow that seems wrong.

Nothing wrong with picking the dress first! You can pick what's most important to you and build the day around that! It's usually the place or the dress that comes first anyway!

Re: wedding dress question
I definitely think a trumpet style wold be sexy on you, and it's really 'in' right now.
This dress is not a trumpet skirt, but I found it was really sexy on, esp with big boobies

Re: wedding dress question
CONGRATULATIONS!!! on the weight loss! would you like to share your secrets? i could stand to shed a few pounds before the wedding myself!
If you really hate the ballgown type dress, then i would try anything i could get my hands on and see what looks best on your frame.
I'm quite chesty u p top and the dresses with straps didn't flatter my bust size, they only enhanced - but you should def try and see what you can find. myabe a pretty halter top?
Jasmine Bridal has beautiful dresses that really work with a lot of body types.
and your 40? OMG you really don't look it at all! i would have pegged you at early 30's!

Re: wedding dress question
OMG I LOVE you! lol Yeah my Mom looks really young too. I guess I get it from her.
I lost it all on weight watchers. Basically they give you a set # of points a day and you stay within them. I was 222 lbs when I started and a size 22! Now I'm a 6.
I ate all regular food. I found that people who did it with me but ate all those frozen things were really unhappy and unmotivated. I even ate fast food, just scaled it down and didn't eat it a lot. I made sure I ate breakfast which was a big deal with me since I never really did before. I made it simple. I cut back on bread. That was my biggest thing. Like a bagel is 6 pts but I found these amazing smaller bagels that are 1 point each and I'd eat 2 of those w jelly or melt cheese on it or something.
It took a little over a year but it was so worth it.
