wedding dress question

Original post by allornil

so I lost 84 lbs and I'm pretty thin..about a size 6, going into a 4. I used to be a size 22 btw!

OK, so I don't want a ball gown. I want something slinky and sexy. Plus, I'm 40, although i don't look it. People think I'm in my late 20s early 30s. Thank god for good genes.

So, should I look for a sheath r trumpet type dress.

I have to add, I'm really chesty. I have a 34dd chest.

Any ideas?

OMG I LOVE you! lol Yeah my Mom looks really young too. I guess I get it from her.

I lost it all on weight watchers. Basically they give you a set # of points a day and you stay within them. I was 222 lbs when I started and a size 22! Now I'm a 6.

I ate all regular food. I found that people who did it with me but ate all those frozen things were really unhappy and unmotivated. I even ate fast food, just scaled it down and didn't eat it a lot. I made sure I ate breakfast which was a big deal with me since I never really did before. I made it simple. I cut back on bread. That was my biggest thing. Like a bagel is 6 pts but I found these amazing smaller bagels that are 1 point each and I'd eat 2 of those w jelly or melt cheese on it or something.

It took a little over a year but it was so worth it.

I just started WW. I'm at 215 (was 228! ) and size 18-20. I'm really hoping to get down a size. you're my inspiration.

I find I do really well when i COOK my food, but it's really hard when you're working, but I really think WW can work. Congratulations. I hope that by my wedding I'll be reporting similar results. I won a free dress so I had to roder it last year. I ordered it in a size smaller, and the size smaller fits, but I really want to go down at least 2 more sizes.

yeah it works better when you know what goes into your food. I have to tell you though, I started this and we were in the middle of a kitchen rehab...umm..we still are lol...but we had NO STOVE. I did grill a lot of stuff, but we ate out like every day. I just followed the points and made decent choices and it worked.

Congrats! You're on your way. I say if you're not gaining you're ok.

congrats on the weight loss, thats amazing!

I love the trumpet, mermaid style...love love love it!

and if i were you and lost all that weight, I would 100% want to show it off on my big day!

just try on lots of different styles like the other girls said...trumpet, mermaid, drop waist- they are similar but still very different when they are on

and most importantly, have fun!
