Anyone know of any good designers that make dresses in size 14-16... Not sure if that would be considered plus size?

Re: Wedding dress sizes
LOTS of designers make dresses in those sizes. bear in mind though a 14-16 isn't necessarily a 14-16 in a wedding dress. they go by the largest measurement of the body rather than the standard dress size.
I'm pretty sure maggie sottero makes them.
and...yes they probably are considered plus sized over size 1w. that way they can charge you more. bastards!

don't focus on the #.... focus on the style, and how it looks on you. it bothered me at first too... but in the end.... who cares! it's just a # and when you find 'THE' dress, it doesn't even matter anymore cause you'll look beautiful!

Re: Wedding dress sizes
yeah I totally stopped looking at the sizes on the dresses I'm trying on... I have wider hips and a smaller waist line so they are always going to go by my hips... you just have to focus on how you look in the dress.

Re: Wedding dress sizes
For most designers weddings gowns run much smaller then street sizes. I am a 2 or 4 and my wedding gown was a 10!! Usually 'womens' sizes begin at 20 or 22 depending on the desinger.

Re: Wedding dress sizes
Maggie Sottero! Dresses are awesome. When I first started looking, I was a size 14 in st. clothes but trying on size 16 samples, and her dresses looked great. Most of the time, I looked a lot slimmer in dresses. Now I am in between an 8/10 and ordered my dress size 10. Her dresses look great on all body types.
