My mother bought my dress for me, and with the veil, tiara, blusher, undergarments and all it came to about $2000. My dress is duchess satin and has a lot of embroidery and sparkles on it. It's designed by Mori Lee.

My dress was marked down to $700. originally $3400... but I happened to luck out. I tried it on back when FH and I were first engaged and I was just browsing, no intent on buying. I took pictures of a few I liked. then a year later went to the store and asked about two dresses I had tried on there, one was sold and the other was upstairs. The dress store stopped carrying that designer but kept the dress and listed it online at a discount. The dress honestly was made for me (size-wise).. its going to need little alterations.
its 100% silk... which is my favorite part of it... it feels SO nice.
I actually had a very different experience at Kleinfeld. I think its about how they edit the show.
I gave them my budget and I ended up getting my dream dress at the trunk show they were having for SO much less - in fact -- over 50% less than the budget I gave them. They were awesome in there. Seriously - I Kleinfeld!
Good luck with the search - Kleinfeld is an experience even if you dont buy there! Its fun just to be there!!!

I got my dress from Fontana Bridal in Scarsdale. Its a Mikaella, it was $1450, plus they have a flat fee for alterations that you pay up front. So it ended up being about $1900 before tax.

I got my dress at Wedding Salon of Manhasset. It was $2800 including alterations. It was an Amsale ballgown and I loved it!!!!

i bought two dresses. one came to 1500 with taxes and the other was under 1000
there are a few very good lines that have a lot of dresses under 1500
maggie sottero probally being the most popular mori lee sottero and midgley private label g casablanca demetrios impressions sophia tolli
there are some others in that price range or only a little over which im sure other girls can rec.

My Maggie Sotero dress was around $1,100.00, with alterations, the total is $1400.00. I went to Charisol's in Flushing, Queens. She had a lot of Maggies and Blue by Enzoani, most dresses were in the $1,000 to $1,500 range.

my dress was an ivory lace dress by demetrios. i paid 1700 for it... i think a reasonable price for a dress is anywhere from 1000-2000, or under! lol
