I am taking a half day from work next Monday and I want to find my dress, I've been to Burton's, Alexandria's, Wedding Center in Commack. I really don't want to spend over $1,000. I really like this dress it's Cosmobella under the Demetrios brand and I want something similiar...
(I like it without the jacket)
Any suggestions of stores on Long Island?? I've tried so many on that I like but not love and they were all $1200-$1400....
I have a lot of problems finding dresses since I'm small busted that they make me look silly and flat chested..My other problem is that I don't like any embellishments, beading or lace..
try fantasia in rocky point. some of the maggies are way under that budget :)

wedding center in commack is definately a good place to try i found my dress there for 250 less then other people wanted to charge. Good Luck

Paradise bridal or Centereach bridal suite. I was looking at bling out lacy dresses (which are more expensive and plain ones obviously) and most prices were maxed out at $1500. Let the place know your price range when you walk in the door too!

did you price the gown at macy;s bridal? They are Demetrios. FYI they accept macy's gift cards and mac's charge card. So many people got me gift cards and i paid almost $700 in giftcards!!! LOL

Agreed. I got my dress for $900 there (originally $1200 somewhere else).

You NEED to go to Bridal World in Baldwin!!
I got my dress there (it's gorgeous and no one believes it was under 1k).. and the people were very nice and accomodating.

Don't be fooled by the website... It kind of put me off at first but the actual shop is a lot nicer. It's a no frills kind of place, and you will probably need to bring a friend or relative with you to help you get in and out of the dresses, but the prices can't be beat.
Also, they have an AMAZING seamstress.

If you're willing to head into Manhattan, RK Bridal has a TON of dresses under $1,000. That's where I got mine!

I got mine on sale from 1050 to 800 at Davids Bridal in Westbury. Really nice dresses for a broad range of prices

totally agree with Allinik i went to bridal world yesterday and fell in love with a gorgesous dress under 1,000! it might have been the time and day you went but i found them to be really helpful zipping me up and getting me into the dresses, they even offered me, my mom and sisters champagne! it was such a pleasant bridal shop experience im actually glad i went there first, since i was so nervous that nothing would look good or fit me. i was really impresed at how many dreses they had in many different sizes

You sound a lot like me! I bought a cosmobella dress from macy's (demitrious ) and it was well under 1000. If you go on a wednesday, they sometimes take 15% off the price!! I dont like crazy embellishments either..
love my dress!

Mine is similar to this..I also like just plain no beading.. Paradise bridal in Patchogue is where I went. Great place.

J Crew or Jenny Yoo for sure. Both are in Manhattan but such beautiful designs and def under 1K.

RK bridal in the City has lots of dresses under $1000. They will also give you prices over the phone.
