wedding dresses under a thousand $$$$$

for those girls who bought dresses under a thousand .. (even 900) or tried on .. where did u get / see them ..

ive been to DB (of course the dress i love is over this price point .. . . ) id like to go else where to see what is out there ..

i did call up a few places .. and they all basically said their range was 1,000+ ..

just turning to you ladies for help!

I got mine at Helen's during a Maggie Sottero trunk show. I thought they had lots of affordable options, but I was only really looking for MS. Good luck!

My dress was 600! I went to Bridal Elegance in Huntington, but unfortunately I had an overall poor experience with them in the alteration process. Finding a dress though was the perfect experience. My advice woule be to go look, and if you buy get altered and your BM dresses and accessories somewhere else. But nonetheless my dress was a GREAT deal and I loved it so much!

Maybe Lillettes might have something. I spent 1100. Maybe they might have under 1,000. Doesnt hurt to check.

Alfred Angelo dresses are around $1000 or less depending on the dress. I just tried one on that I love and its only $750 (and I asked in a few stores for the price).

I actually got my dress at B*rton's Bridal (owned by and upstiars from B*urtons flowers) Her dresses are at wholesale and i got mine (which has tons of detail) for $850...

Umm... may sound crazy, but I went to Filene's Running of the Brides and got mine for wayyyyyy less than that... trick is to go in the afternoon when it isn't so crazy.

(All the good dresses go back on the racks when girls pick which of the 30 they picked up that they want).

... and... I went online to price mine out.. it would've cost me about $5-6k..

im not trying to be super cheap .. but i want to go wheres there is a variety .. and i can kinda play around i guess you could say .. walking in and knowing the cheapest item i can walk out with is a grand is a bit hard to swallow ... thank you for all your help!! my budget i would say is around 1 .. but if i fall in love with something less more power to it

Maggie Sottero, Casablanca, and Mon Cheri gowns are great. List price is usually $1,200-$1,800 but you can get it lower. For example, one shop quoted $150 more than the other. Find the dress you love and then ask shops how much they would be willing to sell it for, they want the sale so they usually will give you a deal.

RK bridal in Manhattan has a large selection of several gowns. You can go there and then order the dress at a shop on long island. Renates is good and also Village Bridal in Babylon is not too bad. Helen's Private Collection in Commack is pretty good also.

Although they don't have the best reputation on here, I got my dress at the Wedding Center in Commack and really didn't have any problems. They have a huge selection of dresses and good prices. Got my Jasmine dress for $850.
