for those girls who bought dresses under a thousand .. (even 900) or tried on .. where did u get / see them ..
ive been to DB (of course the dress i love is over this price point .. . . ) id like to go else where to see what is out there ..
i did call up a few places .. and they all basically said their range was 1,000+ ..
just turning to you ladies for help!

Yes, that is true. However, they have several that are in the $1,000 range and you can sometimes get a lower price at another shop. You just need to find the dress you like and try to negotiate around.

I bought 2 wedding gowns from them ... The first one was a Maggie, and the second was a Private Label by G. I got them both for a significant amount under 1,000
So You can definitely get a dress for under 1,000 there.

RK bridal had plenty under or around $1000, My sister got a Jasmine Bridal (with a lote of detail on it) for $850 from The wedding Center in Commack, she had no issues with them. I am getting a Alfred Angelo and saw the dress in a two places and it was $999. Although one place I went to did not have a large selection for the price, But Alfred Angelo is a designor you should check out. Oh and the dress has a lot of detail on it.

Have you tried on Casablanca gowns? They are beautiful, offer MANY styles, are so accomodating to your needs (example if u prefer a sweetheart instead of the neckline shown or want an a-line turned into a mermaid- they will do it for you!) ) They start at $900.00 and are sold at many stores on Long Island. RK Bridal does have a huge selection! Also, if you are between a size 0 and 8, check out the Bridal Garden in the city. Stores donate overstock and samples and all the proceeds go to charity. You can use your wedding dress as a tax deduction!

i went to their tent sale last november as soon as it opened on friday - found my dress there. they were great - the woman who worked there found exactly what i was looking for. and the best part -
I got my dress vail and slip all for under 1000, before alterations
you can try estelles dressy dresses they do have a bridal department

My Sophia Tolli dress was less than $900. Not on sale. And it's gorgeous. Village bridal, PAradise Bridal and Fantasia in Rocky Point all have affordable dresses.

i dont know if you wanna drive to Brooklyn but i went to valentina bridal on new utrecht ave and all their dresses were VERY resonable, and they have free alterations (except for the bustle) and i think the most expensive dress i tried on was $1100 but def look at Casablanca and Maggie dresses, they are beautiful and affordable

I got a Justin Alexander sample gown for $450 from Bridal World in Baldwin. They have a pretty good selection, not the best customer service. Alterations were ok, overall it was a pretty good experience.
Bridal World in Baldwin on Grand Ave. They have beautiful detailed dresses there for under $1k. I got a MoriLee dress from there for under $1k. I worked with Janine. She is super nice and helpful. Got the BM dresses there too that are beautiful and each was under $200.

My dress was 600! I went to Bridal Elegance in Huntington, but unfortunately I had an overall poor experience with them in the alteration process. Finding a dress though was the perfect experience. My advice woule be to go look, and if you buy get altered and your BM dresses and accessories somewhere else. But nonetheless my dress was a GREAT deal and I loved it so much!
