Wedding Favors
Hi, what kind of favors is everyone having for there wedding? I am looking to have something that is not to expensive. I was going to give out champagne bottles but my FH thinks that is tacky. What do you think? Thanks everyone!

I think the little champagne bottles are nice. They even have wine bottles with custom labels. We are doing a donation to the American Cancer Society and attaching a card stating that to a little box with homemade candy in it.

Wedding Favors
We are doing little chocolate heart truffles by Godiva. Each favor will be a box with 2 truffles in them. They are less than $2 per favor.

Donating $$
Hi boosh, like ChristineC68, we are donating $ on behalf of our guests. Our problem right now is deciding which charity-so many seem to be in need of funding. P.S. The little splits of champagne make nice favors! Go for it!!

We gave wine as our favor...
We did small bottles of Luna Di Luna which is a chardonnay/pinot grigio blend. The bottle is really cute and the wine was really good. Our guests loved it and we got a lot of compliments. We also put our placecards in picture frames which served as a favor too.

donations
if you don't have a charity to give to yet, reaserch before hand...groups like the United Way only give away 20% of the donation...the rest goes to salaries and expenses...I realize that charities have expenses, but that seems extreme to me...there are many that give 100% (ebay - auction for america)

Wedding Favors
For my wedding I bought little bottles of White Zinfindel and Merlot, got the celaphane wrap, white lace and my mom made up a little tag that said our names and wedding date on them, and tied them at the neck of the bottle. Very time consuming, but received alot of compliments on them

Some other ideas
A great charity is the American Lung Association. But you should do a charity that has meaning to you such as if a family member died from an illness. Other ideas: We are giving Maple Syrup bottles. They cost 2.75 a piece. They are glass leave bottles full of Vermont syrup. Very cute, nothing too big. I also saw olive oil in pretty jars as well as wedding cookies in the shape of a wedding cake. For the kids we are doing carmel apples. You can also consider bubble bath. I saw someone give that out in pretty bottles and people really appreciated it and thought it was a nice idea.

We did a donation and CDs
The organization sent us cards stating that we had donated money to their organization. Also on the card was their mission statement. They also sent along envelopes. We addressed the envelopes with each couple`s or individual`s name and the table they were seated at. Then, we placed it on top of a CD, and looped that gold stretchy cord around two diagonal corners. They looked really neat when they were done, and were an easy little package for our guests to pick up. I didn`t want to just leave a bundle of CDs on the tables because I wanted to make sure everyone got theirs, and some couple didn`t walk off with one per person rather than one per couple. It worked out great, but unfortunately I didn`t get back the ones that weren`t picked up by guests who didn`t show up.

Wedding Favors
We gave tee-shirts that we designed ourselves (CHEAP!!!!) and an individual wedding cake that mimicked our wedding cake and they were presented in silver handled baskets wrapped in tulle (CHEAP!!!!). We were married Easter weekend so they were Easter baskets!! It was very cute and people sleep in those tee-shirts, wash cars with them, whatever... Good Luck! Ayanna
