Help!!! I cannot find good wedding favors...Can anyone help? I really don't want to spend more than $3.00 each. Is there anything out there other than votive candles?

Re: wedding favors
Dumb question, but what are some of your hobbies or things that you and your FH really love?Or love doing together? For example, my FH and I are ice cream freaks and saw these silver ice cream scoopers as favors. We didnt get them, but it was something we loved!or are you looking to do something more general as a favor?

Re: wedding favors
That's a great question...I haven't really thought of that. We are both teachers, so maybe we could do something about that. Ice cream scoops is a cute idea, especially if a phrase came with it, you know what I mean. I am still lost though!

I'll keep thinking. Post any other hobbies or activities if you think of them! Debbie- you too!

Re: wedding favors
I used little trees as my favors. They were less that $3.00 each. Thought it was a good idea, considering my husband is a Landscaper

Re: wedding favors
(I think) We are going to do the place card holder frames and the frame will be the favor. The frame holds a wallet sized photo (2-1/2 x 3). I think it is the easiest/best way to go. Also, I was originally going to do one favor per guest but was told repeatedly by many people that it is typically one per couple and the frames are the easiest way to do that. If we give a favor that is gift wrapped, I couldn't figure out a way to distribute them.

Re: wedding favors
FI and I are doing personalized playing cards - our first trip together was over New Year's Eve and we went to Foxwoods Casino. Even now when we need to get away for a day we hit Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. You should definitely do a favor that expresses something about yourselves and relationship.Good Luck!!!

Re: wedding favors
We are also getting married in the winter (I saw your wedding date in your profile), and we are giving out mugs filled with hot cocoa. They are mason jar mugs - which took forever to find. My FMIL finally found them for a great price in PA for $.89 each!! We have to get the lids, which are super cheap, and we will buy hot chocolate in price club (huge cans) and scoop into the mugs. We are having labels made (by my FMIL, who is a computer guru), with our names, wedding date, and a bride and groom snowman toasting champagne, that can easily wash off the mugs. We are also having fabric covers made by my FMIL so they look like jelly jars. They will be just about $3.00/each. I have never seen this done before, and who cant use a mug!! (they are great for frosted mugs)...good luck!

Re: wedding favors
You guys could do something with apples to go with the teacher theme. You could do carmel or some kind of dipped apples. You could do a little 'Everything I Need to Know I learned in Kindergarten' type poem or something and relate it to your love.Or how about mini chalk boards that people can use as message boards by their phone. Or a cute ornament that is like a chalkboard with your names and wedding date written on it to look like chalk.

Re: wedding favors
We are not giving out favors. We are donating the money to a LI charity in the name of the guests. We haven't picked a charity yet
