wedding favors

I am just curious what people are planning to do as far as favors? Are you going to give each person a present or each couple? The couple thing seems to get tricky when you invite families.. is it 1 persent per family??? Im so confused. Please let me know what you are planning.

Re: wedding favors

i go by who was included on the invitation
like, for example,
if you addressed 1 invite to a family, they would get 1 favor
but if you addressed maybe like 1 to the parents and 1 to the kids that would be 2 favors - does that make sense?

as for what we're giving - definitely a donation to the American Heart Association but we were also thinking about an ornament

Re: wedding favors

We haven't decided what we are giving yet, but most people give 1 per couple or single invited guest.

We had ice cream scoops as our favors and we gave one to each couple. We also had some kids, they got favors too, we gave them a bottle of bubbles and a beach ball.

Re: wedding favors

I think we are going to do a candle of some kind, and the daily news w/our pic. on the cover with bagels for the next morning. I went to a wedding where they did this and I thought it was so unique and everyone loved it!

Re: wedding favors

Whether you do one present per family/couple or one per person is totally up to you. It depends on what your favors are and if they are gender neutral. If you do something both men and women will appreciate then one per person is always nice if you can afford it. If it is something for the home, one per household is fine.

As our favors, each couple got a box of 4 Lenox goblets.
We did one per couple for several reasons

1. Guys typically do not appreciate crystal
2. It would have been WAY too expensive one per person
3. Most weddings we went to together gave one favor per couple.

If opt for one per couple/family you certainly will not be offending anyone.

GOOD LUCK!

Re: wedding favors

My FH's mother died from Cancer in 2003. So we are going to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (a charity she was involved in and we race in every year to raise money)
in her name... We might put some chocolates in a box with a notecard announcing this was done in her memory..

This way, we can involve her in our wedding. =))
