Is it possible to have a wedding in Suffolk County that includes RC Church, and a reception for 70 people, with photographer and dj for $10,000?

Re: wedding for 10k?
It's not is Suffolk but that Stuart THomas Manor in North Massapequa or Farmingdale that is listed on this site has a 10K wedding package which includes photos, limos, flowers, and I think DJ---most RC churches are only $300 for the ceremony....I have not been to STM since they redid it.

Supposably the Holiday Inn just did some type of renovation that is supposed to be beautiful. They are trying to raise cash so their packages are priced very reasonable! Give them a try. Try the Swan Club in PJS. They might be able to work with you too! Good luck! Believe me anything is possible!

Re: wedding for 10k?
Hi... yeah it is possible. We've moved reception locations to save money. Actually we've saved about $3,000 just by doing that. Including a great photographer, videographer, DJ, the church, 2 limos, and a nice reception hall it will be costing us like $11,000. That's not including a honeymoon though. But we've got every vendor we wanted, with great packages. We switched our reception from the Port Jefferson CC to the Holbrook Country Club. It's not on the water though. The food is great, and for adults 21 and older it's $60pp, and then the price goes down from there depending on age. That includes a huge Cocktail Hour food selection, a great dinner, the cake, chocolate covered strawberries on each table, Italian cookies and pastries, all the centerpieces, (we're going to upgrade those), and you're the only affair going on at the time. It's a family owned business. They're great to work with. Anyway... sorry for babbling. But, it is possible. If you have any questions, let me know!

Re: wedding for 10k?
Smithtown Landing was $65 pp when I booked in 2000 so the prices must have went up right after Stef booked it!
But that is relatively inexpensive compared to what is out there. Figure out your guest list too, that could keep you under $10,000 for your reception only. Sadly, all the little things add up!!
I know Brentwood does a package deal for under $10,000 I believe and that includes some extras (flowers, invitations, etc.)
Best of Luck!

Re: wedding for 10k?
Have you thought about having the wedding on an 'off' day (such as a Thursday night or something). I am sure most vendors would give you huge discount if you had the wedding during the week.
swan club is $55 or $60 pp crest hollow can be as low as $60 too I think

Re: wedding for 10k?
It is possible but you do have to remeber what is important to you and your FH and you must stick to your budget. Our wedding not including the honeymoon will be about $10500 with honeymoon 12k We are getting married at the Watermill in Nov 50 people ($79 pp with tax & tip plus the $300 for the ceremony, this includes flowers for both the ceremony and reception, cake, and open bar) DJ $800 for both ceremony and reception Photographer $1900 Atire (for both my FH and I) $1300 mostly my dress but it does include alterations) Reverand $150 ( He is a friend of the family so he is not charging us but we feel we should donate at least something Wedding Bands $1000 Invitations $225 (including stamps) Favors $120 (wine bottles) Misc. stuff $700 (hair & makeup, tips, &etc.)
Good luck and remeber anything is possible.

You will be in the same room as me in the Watermill! I will post in a few weeks about everything. Just curious, how did you get the flowers included in the reception?

Re: jlabs
I know that Windows on the Lake in Ronkonkoma advertising a whole wedding package for 100 guests for under $10K- not including wedding bands or honeymoon.
If you keep your guest list small and simply you are better able to do a wedding for under $10K. Also, consider not having a large bridal party. Just a MOH, BM, and maybe a FG or RB. Tuxedos at Men's Warehouse are about $50 so that should not be a problem at all. Look for sales at David's Bridal for your gown. Keep your flowers very simple. I am not a huge fan of do-it-yourself flowers the day of your wedding because there is already enough stress (unless you are a professional florist). If you give the Moms simple 2-rose coursages and only have a MOH you will not spend a lot. Some invites are cheaper to do yourself, while I found others that would cost me a ton more to do myself. So just shop smart and do your research.

Re: jlabs
I feel in love with the room when I saw it. It was one of the 1st places we looked at.
When they showed me the room they said that the center pieces would be included I didn't even ask. The room was set up and had simple center pieces on the tables and flowers on the mantle. I booked them a year ago so maybe things have changed since I booked them. My aunt is actually a florist and doing our flowers for our wedding present.
