Wedding Gift??

Ladies please post what you are buying your FH as a weddingn present. I really need some ideas, the only thing I can think of is a large Flat screen TV the only problem is we live in an apartment so I was thinking that it would not be such a good idea becaseu them we would have to take it down and move it once we move.

PS: No watches please, I already bougth him a really nice one.

That is the gift I wish I could give him, becasue its something he could have for a long time, and I could even engrave something on it, but Stupid me got him a really nice watch for our first year anniversary. So when we were at our friends weddign and his wife gave him a really nice Rolex as a gift, he mentioned to me that he really loves the watch I gave him, so he would not want another watch.

We decided based on the cost of the wedding and honeymoon that we're not exchanging wedding gifts. I got him skis for his engagement gift though.

Hmm..well what are his interests? I know this isn't a romantic idea, but what about really good tickets to watch a team of his choice? Guys usually love that stuff.

If you have spare vacation time a trip to somewhere he likes is also a good idea. This way, when you move from your apartment that's one thing less you'll have to worry about lifting.

We decided that we are going to redo our living room as our gift to each other. (He's a handyman and I'm the helper!) Most of our money is going to the wedding and we wanted to do the room anyway.

we went back and forth on this a lot. We ended up not exchanging gifts. We spent SO much money on the wedding and HM, enough was enough. we have a lifetime of gift giving ahead of us

ummmm, I'm letting him buy a new digital cam and a sony camcorder my gift to him is all of the spending $$ we will need in hawaii.

Not sure yet...we haven't really discussed it. He has mentioned a few times that he is going to buy something for my quad.....but I'd rather him not even spend money on such a foolish thing.

I believe i'm going to get him a plasma tv. I know its a bit much and very $$$ (i've already put money aside for it), but he deserves it. We're going to be building a house in a few months and lets face it... his salary is paying for most of it. So the least i can do is get him the tv he always wanted.

I got him custom made cuff links and I'll get him tickets to a hockey game.

This is how I felt. The stage that we are at now is a very transitional one. We are sort of young (I'm 28 he's 30), we just bought each other the bands and with all the money we've been saving just for the wedding, we decided that buying each other expensive gifts just wasn't practical, as any and all savings money right now could go for our future (home, babies, bills, lol). However, wedding gifts are a nice a great idea if you are at the stage in your life where you can afford it.

We agreed not to exchange gifts, but I just couldn't resist. We are lucky enough to have alot (watches, plasma, camera, etc.) so I wanted to give my DH a small gift. I got him Tiffany cufflinks...I gave them to my dad to give to him the morning of. It was a nice touch for him to wear 'something new' as well.

A dress wedding band that I'll surprise him with at the ceremony (he wanted this band and we decided we couldn't afford it but I worked a TON of O/T to get it) All sapphires, not sapphires & rubies

I don't think we're going to end up exchanging wedding day gifts (except for the rings, of course), but at the Rehearsal Dinner, I want to give him his birthday present (his b-day is 5 days after our wedding, and we'll be in Disney World for it). I'm getting him a picture of Yankee Stadium, with 'The Yankees Welcome Mr. and Mrs. C___' written on the scoreboard. There are websites you can buy personalized scoreboards from, but I used to work there, so I want to see if I can have a REAL one taken.

Sunday season tickets to the Mets. I got him a jersey too, he loved it. Went to the first game on Sunday.

No one says you have to spend a lot of money on your FH for a gift. You said you already got him a watch, which is very nice. Have you thought about something sentimental he'd like? (i would have done something similar... watch & sentimental gift, but after 8 years... i've done enough sentimental stuff to last a life time).

What about something for the honeymoon? Does your FH like masages? Or is there a particular excursion he'd like to do but thinks it's too much money? airplane ride?

Is there anything in particular that your FH really wants... electronics or sports wise?
