wedding gift help

Ladies,

Sorry to crash your board, I know my FW doesn’t frequent this board much (as she’s a ’07 Bride) and I’d like your help.

Did your DH get you a wedding gift on the day of your wedding and if he did, what was it? I'm trying to think of something to get my FW, and haven't come up with anything good yet.

We didn't exchange gifts bc we wanted save money also, however he did do something nice for me. We wrote our own vows and he had his printed out real nice and framed for me. Now they hang in our home.

We also purchased gifts for each other while we were on our HM. I got him a watch and he got me a necklace and earring set, this way we got to pick them out together and they doubled as souvenirs!!

We were saving $$, but we each got something small and personal for the other.

DH bought me an earring and bracelet set from Macy's that was x's and hearts next to one another in a circle.

I bought DH this:

No we did not exchange any gifts for our wedding.

We felt paying for the wedding and buy each other rings was enough of showing our love for each other.

but we did exchange cards!

we decided not to get each other anything as well. we had just paid for the wedding... I got him a card, it would have been nice if he got one for me too, I would do that. Get her a card, write something sweet in it and have someone give it to her while she is getting ready the morning of your wedding.

I like the card idea. My BMs DH did this before their wedding, he sent someone over with a card and a single white rose.

DH and I didn't exchange anything because we figured our honeymoon was gift enough.

Seems like a sentimental something while getting ready is just the gift advice I needed.
