so a friend of mine got married and i bought her a gift from her registry. she didn't have a bridal shower and had a very small wedding (less than 50 ppl at verdi's...my gift was equivalent to price per plate...but money wise we are pretty tight...should i also send a congratulatory card with $$ or do you think the gift is good enough?
did you give her that gift at or right around her wedding? If her wedding already passed and you didnt insinuate that you were going to be giving her another gift, then i would just leave it as is. Was the card you gave her with the gift a wedding card or a shower card? If it was a shower card then i would consider sending something else...but if not, i wouldnt worry!
You should give whatever you feel comfortable with giving. If you already gave a gave a gift and her wedding has past i think that is very generous.
i bought her gift a wk before her wedding...i called her to see if i could drop it off at her new place but she was busy and they didn't have a way to get it home after the wedding so i still have it in my car. Fh said we'll hook up after they get back from honeymoon. I offered to host a dinner for them at my house or he'd just pick it up. I've been driving around with a 10 pcs pot set in my trunk lol.
I think you gift was nice. I dont think you should also send a card with money if you were not invited.
