Question....how much would you give for a Bar Mitzvah gift? Do you think that it should be equal to what you'd give for a wedding gift, or should you give less for a Bar Mitzvah?
Im in a situation that I'm not sure how to handle.

Re: Wedding gift vs. Bar Mitzvah gift
I would think it would be 1/2 of what you would give as a wedding gift since a wedding has two people LOL
I would think 50 for bar mitzvah and 100 for a wedding, each per person? Is that too low?

Totally agreed. A Bar Mitzvah gift should be way less. If the parents are having a huge party at a nice place that is their problem. Its a 13 year old bday party!

Hmmm....back in the day (like 14 years ago)...I used to give about $50 as a bar mitzvah gift. Maybe $75 is good??? Is it just you? Or you and FH? Hmmm this is a hard one.

Re: Wedding gift vs. Bar Mitzvah gift
it definitely depends on the relationship and if you are bringing a guest. and if you really getting technical, a monetary gift for a jewish affair is given in increments of $18, which means 'Chai', good luck, etc.
