Re: wedding gifts
Hey, if you can afford it, go for it!
I think we're probably not exchanging any big material gifts - we'll be pretty wiped out financially by that point. Maybe something small and sentimental. Like lingerie for the wedding night.

I hear you I will be wiped out but I figured if I start saving for it now and go on black friday it will be so much cheaper.

Re: wedding gifts
I'm not sure...I would like to be able to surprise FH with a nice but not too expensive gift. He really loves the Tampa Bay Bucs so I was thinking about getting him tickets to the game or something like that.

Re: wedding gifts
I'm making him a basket with a flask, cigars with his own personalized box, a rat pack best of CD or something, a few other manly items, a pocket watch that I'll have engraved and Boudior pics of me I want to try and have Angelica Glass take them but if not I'll ask SIB....I'm psyched...I can't wait!

Re: wedding gifts
We've only discussed it a little bit but I mentioned to him that I don't want anything, my was MORE than enough! But I will be surprising him with a really nice watch I bought, hopefully catching him completely off guard.
Just one question, when would I give it to him? The day of rehearsal or before? I would definitely want him to wear it the day of though.

That's a great idea, FH has been drooling over big screens ever since we went into contract for our house. I'm like let's work on furniture first! We won't be able to afford any furniture but we'll have a really big TV in an empty house

Re: wedding gifts
A friend of mine got married in September and she got her FH a Rolex watch. The way she gave it to him was she had it in her garter and he found it while he was taking it off! He LOVED it!!!

Re: wedding gifts
I would love to buy him a present, but we will both be tapped out. And there is no way to start saving now b/c we have no more $$ to save. All is going toward the wedding.

Re: wedding gifts
no gift.. our wedding paid off, honey moon done that is our gift to each other. What we will do is buy furnature and a new tv with the money from the wedding though if that counts as a 'gift'

Re: wedding gifts
We talked about it and decided to exchange something small and sentimental -- no clue what that is going to be though!
Think of how cute the picture will be of you opening the present from him
