We are putting it towards a condo/house.... we will have already paid for the wedding so the money that comes back from it will be savings.

Is anyone else going to buy any unpurchased gifts off your registry? I'm hoping I dont have to but we'll probably do that and spend some of it on the honeymoon. The rest goes into savings!
Maybe, depending on what's left and what I can live without. Otherwise, saving it for a house!
i plan to complete my china set (need 4 more), purchase my champagne glasses (need the whole set!), complete my flatware set (need 8). might also purchase a few other serving dishes from my china set - if i don't now, i never will. the rest will go towards a house

Re: Wedding Gifts
heck no!! people do that all the time. why not? i think to get it out of the way before you go on hunnymoon is efficient, not greedy. we'll probably do the same since we don't leave till monday (wedding is saturday). i'll also try to knock out the thank you's on that sunday as well.

Yes . . . . you should do it the next day.
I'm really not kidding . . . . you do it whenever is most convenient, and if it's right away, go for it, you have an HM to go on!

Re: Wedding Gifts
We each have small balances on our credit cards, we will pay those off and save anything left. We are in a good position now and after the wedding, things will be even better!

I hope to have enough $ on a future giftcard through Macy's Registry rewards program to not need to buy the remainder of the registry using wedding gift money (I already have $500 earned and most of the registry has not been bought yet!).
Also, my wedding is just before Thanksgiving, so I hope my family wll buy more things from my registry for me for Christmas and for my birthday in January.
