Like something off their registry. Anyone recieve any at their wedding?

We didn't receive any actual gifts at the wedding, just monetary ones. We did receive all of our towels before the wedding, shipped to our apartment, from a friend. We really appreciated it.

One thing, not off our registry. And it was breakable. I lugged that thing around to all night.

i got 2 g/c for a hess gas station and at the time i was like really? but a few weeks after we were home it was SUPER nice to save $ on gas! and the same person gave me a HUGE assortment of scrapbook stuff, which i TRUELY APPRECIATED b/c i love to scrapbooK!

Not AT the wedding, but a lot of people had stuff sent to our house right before and after.

I wanted to do this too since all of FH's guest are OOT'ers but then what if they give you something that you really don't want and it wasn't on your registry because you don't have one anymore? If I leave the registry and they buy something from BBB then I can just return it for the cash anyway right?
Nope. To get cash back it has to have been on your registry.

Nope. To get cash back it has to have been on your registry.
but you could always take store credit and let's be honest... when could you NOT use SOMETHING from BBB.

I had one g/c for 50 bucks from bloomies (my brother and mom were opening the envelopes when they saw that they were sure that they were not reading it right LOL - oy wey)
had a huge painting sent to my house before the wedding by guests. DH is kinda upset as he paints and was a bit insulted by some stranger's art hanging in our house haha
got an expansive frame and a passover plate from DH's childhood friends
and our landlord sent us a very nice gift from Crate and Barrel (they were not invited to the wedding)
so ye, I was surprised but ppl do give gifts too

I got a three off the registry and one couple gave us less expensive versions of things from our registry.
DH's cousin sent us something off the registry but we liked it, didn't mind if it wasn't something we wanted.

We've gotten a few gifts off registry from OOTers, oh and 1 gift from 4 people coming to wedding was 2 KALEIDOSCOPES. Yep.
Ohhh Hell no! Where did they think that they were going, to a 10 year old's birthday party? People are ridic!

One guest who came to the wedding sent a ton of stuff from our registry. Other oot guests who couldn't make it sent stuff from our registry as well. But none were brought the rh the day of.

We got about 5 gifts and were stiffed by 8... but our wedding was only 3 weeks ago so we're hoping that these people will still send at least a card because some of them I consider to be close friends... messed up
