Wedding Gifts/Shower Gifts question, Help!

Hey ladies, this may sound like a silly question but i really have no idea about this stuff, so any input would be great!

So my wedding is in less then 2 months (51 days to be exact) and my shower is next weekend. So the people who were invited to my shower were provided with my registry information and my wedding guests were not (unless they contacted me or FH for info).

So I have been receiving gifts off of my registry and delivered to my house one last month and some this week. Im not sure if these are wedding gifts or gifts for my shower, and not sure if i should send out thank you cards now. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

Some people send shower gifts to the house just so you don't have so many gifts to carry home. I know one bride who requested they be sent to the house. I'd say it would be best to just send thank yous for the shower gifts now, and see what happens at the wedding!

I agree with the above post. Send a thank you now, it is the right thing to do and see what happens at the wedding.

From what I have read etiquette wise you are supposed to send out a thank you card immediately following receiving a gift. You do not have to mention in the card that it was a shower or wedding gift. Just that you revceived it and you love it.
