I am new to the chat.. So I wanted to start by saying Hello...
I been engaged for 14 months now.. So I have been waiting a long time to look for wedding dress.. Since I am getting married on June 11, 2006.. I thought now was a good time to look...
I went looking and found a dress that I love.. the only problem is it is nothing that I pictured or envisioned.. Did that happen to anyone else???
I dont know what to do.. can anyone help??/

Welcome... I am a new poster and these girls are really friendly! I think it does happen. You are lucky you even feel like you found the one! I have tried on like 50 dresses and still no 'one'! Post a pic of it, lets see!

yes,,,,,i was goin for a dress with cap sleeves...NEVER thought i would pick a halter...i wasnt even gonna try it on....but the woman at the dress place said ' listen, try it on...i think it will look great on you, and it will make youlook slimmer bc u have a bigger bust'
WELL....i tried it on...and FELL HEAD OVER HEELS for it....and i ordered....so yes.....it can happen!!!

I went with an open mind and the sales girlbrought it in to me.. I said I dont think I will like it.. but why not... and I love it.. It is so not what I wanted.. but something about it.. makes me love it.. (I hope the attachment works.. first time trying this)

I always have trouble posting pics! If you post the designer and the style we can go look and sometimes the helpful girls on here find the pic and post it for you!

Welcome to LIW!!! Yes, that happens all the time. I never thought I'd buy a dress with lots of beading, but that's what I fell in love with and there was no other!
You seem to be having trouble posting the pic, make sure it's less than 60kb. I can't wait to see it!!

That definitely happens. Hey, when it's your first time buying/trying on a wedding dress, it's hard to imagine what you will like and what will look good on you.

I love Maggie's I personally think I am going to order Grace in the color shown on the website!! I know which one Capri is too and I love love love the skirt on that one!!!!

Yes, same here, I never thought a poofy ballgown with beading everywhere would be my style. I was going for a simple A-Line gown. Low and behold, what do I have? A poofy ballgown with beading!!
I tried on Capri and I LOVED it, but of course I had my dress already!!! Great choice, I'll see if I can post it for you....
I think this is the dress.. I am going to try on one or two more before I make the final decision...
I just had something else pictured in my mind.. I guess you never know...

Gorgeous dress... if you love it and feel great in it then go for it! I've heard a lot of girls say they never thought they'd pick a dress like they did.
