Thanks!!

Re: Wedding Gown
I have a trumpet shaped gown. I think it is flattering because you don't get lost in it! Stay away from ballgowns!

Re: Wedding Gown
I think an a line or a ball gown would work best. I'm also 5'2 but a few lbs heavier than you and I found that the trumpet dresses made me look shorter and dresses with pick ups overpowered my body shape. A-lines and ball gowns looked best on me

I am 5 feet tall and I went with the trumpet style! I also thought for me the v-neck made me look longer!

im 5'2 and also went with a-line. Honestly though the best way of knowing is to try different styles on and see what flatters you best. You'll see some 5'2 girls whom didnt like a mermaid on them but others who loved it. It has more to do than just height and hips.

I agree! My opinion on wedding gown styles totally changed after I tried them on. I ended up with a mermaid/ trumpet style but the A-line was my second choice. pics in my albums.

Re: Wedding Gown
I agree that you should try on different styles. I'm 5'0' w/a similar body to yours and tried on the mermaid, a-line, and pickup styles...the pickup made me look like a cupcake, and it was too big and poufy for me- the mermaid I just didn't like- I ended up w/an A-line dress.

Re: Wedding Gown
I have been trying on gowns and I like the trumpet / mermaid style, but my hips are so narrow and I don't have much a... J-Lo back
As for the ballgowns, I feel that is just too much dress for me.
Thanks for all the replies!!

Re: Wedding Gown
I would stick with a mermaid/trumpet that either has a vneck or is strapless. I would also suggest that you start thinking about hairstyles too. An up-do may be best to elongate your neck and make you look taller.

FutureMaynard: I love your dress too. I was thinking of a similar style, but strapless.
