Wedding Gown/ Bra question

I want to have cups sewn in but not sure if they are supportive enough. I'm a 38C should I get a bra instead? I'd really prefer cups sewn in if it'll work.

Re: Wedding Gown/ Bra question

did you think about a corset top?

I had cups sewn in but I am a 'B' so they were supportive enough for me...

I think it also depnds on the style of your dress...is the top very form fitting?

Re: Wedding Gown/ Bra question

I think it depends on your dress. I am a 38C and there was NO way cups would do it, but probably because my dress is backless. I needed the support. However, my sister in law is the same size and I think she just did the cups, because her dress was long sleeves and very fitted around the chest and waist.
With your dress, I think you might need a low-backed corset bra - I got mine at Georgette's in Hicksville.

Re: Wedding Gown/ Bra question

that back is sheer like that?
I would def. try for cups... if you wear a bra you will see it...
plus the top looks like it is gonna be supportive...

can you try on the dress with cups put in (w/o being sewn yet) and see how you feel?
That's what I did at my first fitting...

Re: Wedding Gown/ Bra question

The back of my dress was sheer & I wore a bustier.I am too big for cups. 36D or DD, depending on the bra. I bought the bustier atthe bridal shop &the seamstress altered it so the top wouldn't show.

Re: Wedding Gown/ Bra question

I love your dress! I am thinking that I will also have bra issues, but that dress looks very supportive w.o too much coverage. I won't start officially looking for a dress for a few months but I love the style of yours...do you mind telling me who makes it? Thanks and good choice!
