Wedding Gown Help

i was just wondering who makes everyone's gown, and how much they are paying for it. Also, where did you get it and would you recommend them? Thanks for your help

Re: Wedding Gown Help

Hi!
I bought my gown from RK Bridal in Manhattan, BUT I found the gowns that I liked at smaller stores on LI (such as Bridal Couture, Kleinfelds, and Bridal Reflections) and then ordered the gown for less money through RK.
The ordering process was simple and it came in within 5 weeks; however, I would not recommend using their tailor.
Good luck!

I ordered my dress from Kleinfelds and it had a Kleinfelds label on it. I was told it was made specifically for them and I looked around for it elsewhere and couldn't find it. My dress was $1200, which is on the 'low-end' for Kleinfelds.

I bought an Ines DiSanto gown from BR in Carle Place. So far the service is OK. You will hear positive and negative stories about them. My dress was $2500, I bought it during a trunk show. HTH

I got my dress from RK Bridal. They have a policy of if you find your dress online for less, they will beat the price by 10%. I got my dress for over $120 off the regular price.

oh, my dress is by Maggie Sottero.

RK Bridal is on 39th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues. Check them out at www.rkbridal.com.

I am purchasing my gown through houseofbrides.com. It will be $840 for a Paula Varsalona, which is an unbelievable deal. It retails at her salon for $1800.

Re: Wedding Gown Help

My dress is Janel Berte' and I purchased it at the Plumed Serpent in Westport, CT. I saw this dress in a magizine and fell in love with it. So me, my mom, and MOH (sis) drove up to CT. As soon as I put it on I knew it was it. I am paying $2400 for the dress. The one good thing is I didn't have to pay tax, bought it in CT and had it shipped to NY! Before I found it I went to Bridal Reflections (Carle Place), The Wedding Salon of Manhasset, and Bridal Courture of Manhasset.

Re: Wedding Gown Help

My gown is a Maggie Sottero and it is $1095. I ordered it through Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. I was really turned off by them on the phone when I called to make the appointment, but they were great when I went in. I made the appointment on a Monday or Tuesday morning, so no one else was there and I got the undivided attention from the assistant.
