any ideas of a good place to go look at wedding gowns for a plus size girl that is not expensive in LI??

David's and Estelle's dressy dresses in Farmingdale both have large sizes to try on. Estelle's has prices that start at about $400 or $500 (at least in 2007, might be a bit higher now).

Lillettes had a lot of plus size in stock to try on, and they have many dresses under a thousand. Good luck!
