Wedding Gowns Online?

Wedding Gowns Online?

I plan to go dress shopping soon, and have no idea what style I'm looking for .. so I want to try many different things on just to get ideas..

However once I get to the 'buying' stage, I'm wondering if anyone has took the plunge and bought their gown online? Some of the sites have beautiful gowns listed at RIDICULOUSLY low prices! It is So tempting, but I worry about how 'legit' they are .. last thing I want is my wedding gown to look like c(*@!

Anyone have experience with this? I have seen things such as bridesave.com and netbride.com, and even good old Ebay had some gorgeous stuff! The veils and tiaras on ebay are really nice, too

I would never buy online. It's a personal experience...like buying makeup, shoes or sunglasses. :)

Also, I am curvaceous, so any gown I choose will need to be adjusted.

I guess I am willing to pay more to be 100% satisfied.

Boutiques mark up wedding gowns a lot! I just ordered my dress from Netbride and saved over $800. I researched the company and found that people had very good things to say about it. It also has a very high corporate rating, which indicated to me that it is a reputable business.

I haven't gotten my dress yet, but the $$$ savings made it worth it to me. It just requires a little extra footwork and you'll have to find your own seamstress. But, I think it is worth it.

You will find that some stores won't tell you who the designer is. (Which is BS...and illegal.) That happened to me when I found my dress, so I had to figure it out myself....which wasn't too difficult. Good luck dress shopping!!

I purchased my dress from bridesave.com and saved $358. I tried the dress on at a salon first. I should have my dress by Valentine's Day. Like Bride626 said, the only thing is having to find a steamstress - it's what stressed me the most about making the decision.
