i just started looking for a dress & so far found three that i am in love with. my mom said i can not have all three so i have to decide which i love the most.
my question is when you purchased your dress was anything included???
one place a went to said this is the price for just the dress, everything else is an extra cost.
the other place i went to said the price includes, dress, alterations, veil, head piece, custom slip, make-up bag, money bag, 2 garters, & ring pillow.

the only thing they threw in for me was my cathedral length veil (the least they can do considering the effing price for this dress! ) everythign else was extra (like alterations)
if you find a dress you like price it out at a few places cuz alterations vary from place to place (kleinfelds wanted almost 1000 for one i like there, whereas im paying $500 for my gown to be altered at the wedding salon of manhasset)

I was under the impression that most places didnt include anything. My sister and several friends paid for everything separately. Alterations are extra and usually capped at a certian amount...a few hundred dollars.

nothing was included with mine...most places cap their alterations, however the bustle is not included in the alterations....i did find that barron's (the veil guy) usually gives you a free garter or pillow.

it totally depends where you go...i know some places will include alterations and others will not.
in general i dont think veils or slips are usually included but maybe in some stores.

they capped my alterations at $395 but they said by the way my particular dress. They didn't charge me for my bustle.

I spent over $1500, so I got the following included with....
Alterations, Veil, Headpiece, Slip
Oh... and my place was Valentina Bridal in Brooklyn. I that place.
