Wedding Guest Book
What is everyone's thoughts on a wedding guest book? Yes or no? Why?
What is everyone's thoughts on a wedding guest book? Yes or no? Why?
I personally don't care for it. I think the idea of a jenga guest book of a photo mat guest book.
We made one.. I did it on shutterfly with our engagement pictures (it gave us something to do with them besides post them on fb lol). It was easy and simple and I like the idea of people leaving us well wishes.
We are doing a fingerprint guest book. Something different and fun to keep in our future house together :)
We're doing a photobook too.
If you register at macys, you get a free wedding book from one of the websites...I think shutterfly. I'm going to do it just because it's free and because it's a great way to show off all the great engagement pictures we took with both our photographer and my best friend.
We did a frame that our guests signed. We are looking through our wedding pics now to frame one of our pictures
I don't like the book just because there's a line to sign it and there are times I just don't sign it or sign it really quickly. We are doing a shadow box with a slit on the top for people to drop note cards in with well wishes. So no one has to wait on a line, they just grab a card and a pen and drop it in when they're done. They we'll put a wedding pic in it and hang it up with all the notes.
I'm back and forth on what to do with this. I'm thinking about doing Jenga pieces, or maybe something that could be a keepsake in the house (someone mentioned a frame idea and I like that)
I made one on shutterfly as well, with our engagement photos. Something else to use them, and it'll serve as a place for people to leave well wishes.
I love your idea of the shadow box with the slit on top. I saw some examples of this online....Are you making it yourself or are you purchasing it?
I personally don't want an actual book, even if it's a collage of our photos. I'd rather have an alternative I can use to decorate the living room or the house. After going through a number of different ideas, I found a canvas frame on Etsy that we both like. Price range is $25-$60. It's big and holds up to 250 guest signatures. It's personalized and my FH really liked it. Our walls are so bare it works out great. We can always see it and not have to worry about having to pull it out of a box of storage. Which could happen with a regular guest book. Hope that helps.
I am thinking of doing some type of DIY project. Etsy and Pinterest has some really great ideas I would like to have something to hang up in our apartment =)
I bought a white puzzle (etsy) and each guest can sign it. After DH will put it together and frame it.
we are doing a book with our photobooth
We're doing a photo mat that says 'Always' at the bottom. I'll get some thin tipped markers to put by it and print a picture. Something we can display in our home. =)
Am doing a puzzle with our e-pics and am going to have the guests sign on the back of each piece.
The photobooth I booked includes providing us with a guest book. I love the idea of guests leaving us well wishes with fun pictures of themselves!
My fiancé is going to draw a cherry blossom tree (we are using them for center pieces) and we're going to do the thumbprints as our guestbook and then hang it in our future home :)
