Well anyway i was talking to my best man for his opinion on my hair for the wedding. I have been keeping it long for a VERY long time (past my shoulders) and its curly and very annoying. I like a nice bob like the early 1900's to 20's because it is easy to maintain and I like it.
Anyway my bestman wanted to kill me for thinking of cutting my hair and i think fh would be mad. So i figured a low bun but still pulled back to make it look like a bob with some nice curls. I have some reference photos and my half a s s approach of attempting to do the look. I realize a pro would do it 100 billion times better.
So what do you girls think? Does it go with my face and dress? I realize i am not a pretty girl so I am really trying to get opinions on people who know a thing or two.

What do you mean you're not a pretty girl???Here I am bracing myself for a hideous face and I see such a pretty one instead.... but anyway, I think the hairstyle would look great on you....you should definitely have a trial though...stylists tend to have it looking 'tighter' if that makes sense to you....you have to see if you like how it looks when it's really tight and hugging your face...

I am glad you think i can do it because i really want to. I really see it ..i dream that hair. Now i don't think a tiara will work so i may have to do hair pins and clip on the back.
I am so happy you girls think positively of it.. it really means a lot to me.
dont say that...you have gorgeous eyes, great hair and your skin looks beautiful...the hairstyle is pretty on you very flattering..my hair is thick and curly and i cut it all off about three years ago and I HATED it...whether you cut it or leave it pinned you will look fabulous!

My mom said she thinks i look weird.. i dunno i hate when she says stuff like that. She says wear my hair like this for a few days and then get it done by a pro.
Honestly thank you all for all the kindness. I am deff. going to get a trial done. I really feel kinda pretty with my hair like this. I never feel pretty.
My mom is worried about a veil now even though I could care less about having one. I want a english net i think so i will have to get my hair done and go to barrons and go looking around at hair combs, pins and veils YIPPIE

ooh, I think that looks great on you!! just look up vintage hair styles and photos of Clara Bow and even some early Greta Garbo.

I think it'll look perfect on you...you actually look a lot like girl in the the first pic you posted. Check out Vintagegirl's wedding on the 07 boards. She did a similar style

I think the look you're going for would be beautiful! Ask a pro to do the finger curl you're looking for....it's very glamourous. Personally, if you do that style...I'd go for the entire look with starlight white -shimmering (kinda glowy) eye shadow, thick black eyelashes and red lips...for that vintage but sexy look :)
