Wedding Insurance

I have been using the 'To-Do' checklist from Theknot.com. One of the items they have list is wedding insurance. Has anyone purchased wedding insurance? Has anyone investigated the pros/cons? Just wondering if this is something I should be thinking about.

Check out www.wedsafe.com. Pro's and cons were in my local penny saver this weekend. Price range is approximately $155 to $355. Definately going to spend the $$. It seems worth it.

I purchased it for my wedding last September. We were getting married outdoors and I was worried about hurricanes (don't laugh, LI has had it's worst hurricanes in September). I thought it was a wonderful idea. The policy is relatively inexpensive and covers a lot. We used Wedsafe and it was well worth it for the peace of mind. The premium depends on how much coverage you are looking for. The policy even covers after your wedding for things like lost wedding picture negatives. You can purchase it up to two weeks before you date (or at least that was the time limit last year). I think it was money well spent.

I kept meaning too, but never did...my grandfather died 2 weeks before our wedding. the wedding still went on...but if it happened any closer I don't know what I would have done...
