Re: wedding insurance??
We bought the 'big day umbrella' policy. It's basically weather insurance. It didn't rain one single drop on our day, but the premium was low & we did it as entertainment really. They carry all sorts of event insurance. Here's the link.Big Day Umbrella

Re: wedding insurance??
I wanted to buy the umbrella policy but my DH kept saying it wouldn't rain and not to bother. So I didn't, then the day off my wedding it was raining all day.
Oh well...I still had a beautiful day!!

Re: wedding insurance??
don't get the big day umbrella policy! It POURED< and I mean POURED HARD for the entire 3 hours stated on my policy - and it was only .09 inches!! It had to be 0.3 inches to get paid, that must have to be a hurricane or something! All day, I was thinking, well, at least were definitley getting paid, NOT!

Re: wedding insurance??
We will be getting general wedding insurance. We always get travel insurance - especially since the time my mother broke her wrist at the airport and we missed our flight and then missed our cruise without it we would have lost either a few days of our vacation or the whole trip, but since we had insurance we were able to reschedule and not pay anything extra. We hope that nothing goes wrong but wedding insurance should cover you IF: your photographer doesn't show up, the pics get ruined (pay for you to retake them), your hall burns down - so you can rebook - basically they pay to help you either reschedule something or 'fix' something. I know that most likely by that time it wouldn't really help, but my FH thinks it will give us some peace of mind.

Re: wedding insurance??
We got married last September and purchased a policy through Wedsafe. It does not only cover for bad weather, but a number of other things as well, including illness, injury, damage to wedding gown, and much more. Very reasonably priced and fairly easy to get. Even though we didn't have to use it I felt better knowing I had it.
