Hello ladies Did you get insurance for the wedding day? Are you planning to get it? It seems like a good idea to me. Plus my ceremony site requires us to get liability insurance. I will start researching insurance companies today.

Re: wedding insurance
We decided not to get wedding insurance because of the time of year we're getting married. My understanding is that wedding insurance mostly covers natural disasters and not any sort of personal emergencies, so it wasn't worthwhile to us. Our RH has its own insurance, as do the majority of our vendors.

Re: wedding insurance
Most companies also provide coverage for such things like vendor no shows ruined photos lost rings damage to gown

Re: wedding insurance
We did wedding insurance, mostly because we had a winter wedding and we were very concerned with getting some big snowstorm and vendors not being able to make it. It wasn't that expensive and like said above, it also covered vendor no-shows even if not weather related (like a certain dollar amount would be given if your photographer was a no-show in order to stage a pretend wedding for photo purposes).

Re: wedding insurance
I am definitely going to purchase it once we have our last major vendor booked. Too much of a risk weather wise for us, plus the threat of no-shows, etc. Not that I don't trust our vendors, but life happens, and what if we had to cancel ourselves for disastrous reasons?

Re: wedding insurance
i almost got it because we were afraid of the vendors going out of business. Look into Travelers. They seemed pretty inexpensive and all the info was on their website. (I would make sure they'll cover vendors already booked before you get it. I'm not sure if they cover the $ you've already paid before the insurance incepts) I could be wrong
