Did anyone buy wedding insurance? I am considering getting coverage just in case of emergencies, but I wanted to test the waters and find out whether you all think it's necessary. My wedding is going to come out to about $10-$11,000. What was everyone's experience with insurance? Where did you buy it if you are getting it?

I took it. It covers if one of your vendors goes out of business (so you can get your deposit back). It would cover if there was an medical emergency with you or your groom and you have to postpone the wedding. IMO the best thing that it covers is if one of your guest leave your party drunk, get into an accident you have a ins. policy to cover that. It covers you and the venue. The cost goes by how much your wedding budget is. It covers more than what I have say, I just do not have the paperwork here with me.
IMO it was very much worth it.

That's very helpful! I don't want to spend too much on insurance, but I do worry about last-minute snafus that would hold up, say, my photographer or something. Thanks for the info!

we did this too. went through the plan offered with travelers insurance. we did this primarily bc we booked our hall and some vendors 2+ yrs in advance.
