wedding Invitation colors

are you matching them to your wedding colors or going outside the box? I'm torn.

We did elegant wedding invitations, so no real colors - ivory, copper, platinum copper.

Since the invitations are not on display or anything at the wedding, they don't have to match.

I am designing ours to match the colors and theme. If I find something affordable that I aboslutely LOVE but doesnt match, I may go with that, but for right now, theme and color to set the tone of the wedding

Not unless you really want it to...mine were cream-colored so they went w/any color. I wanted to do a rose pink (my color) ink or envelope lining but I decided against it...it didn't look right...I did a gold lining and dark grey ink and everything looked very elegant.

Mine match my colors. We had them custom made by A Bridal Paperie in Plainview. Here

Our invites were a very classy sort of white/shimmery design with black print, so we didn't match our colors, which are mint green and lavender.

I honestly don't think many people at the wedding are even going to notice my colors, other than that the BMs are wearing them (and now our GMs are wearing mint ties as well!) so I'm not worried about being all consistent and stuff.
