Wedding Invitations - Need Tips!

Wedding Invitations - Need Tips!

Hi all,

I am looking for an online site that has cheaper wedding invitations. I am not too picky about them, and want them simple and elegant. This is one of the areas I am cutting costs- does anyone have any tips?

Also, how far in advance does the invitation need to go out, and the RSVP due? My wedding is May 29, 2011- just planning ahead :)

Thanks for anyone who can help!

there are a bunch of online places that do invites..

click me then me

these places ALWAYS run sales on their invites and they do a really really nice job. FH and i were going to use them but we decided to go the custom route instead.....

also usually they say mail out the invites at the 3 month mark and have your RSVPs come back a month before. this way you have time to call ppl that had not RSVPd before you give your final head count to the RH. FH and I are going to send them out a little before the 3 month since we do have a bunch of ppl we needed to cut but if we get enough nos we really want to invite...

I recommend vistaprint! They have a wide selection or you can design your own, and there are always sales going on. You can see my invites in my album, i designed them on my own...

DIY, Vistaprint, Sweet Nut Hut in Deer Park, she even gives a LIW discount.

My wedding is 10/30, my rsvp is 10/1, I sent out invites on 8/1. I thought I was going to have a B list.

Wedding Paper Divas has very affordable options, and coupon codes all the time! Get on their mailing list or just google search for codes. Costco does them, too!

David's Bridal also has wedding invitations. I haven't seen any in person, but they look nice online and they always seem to have sales on them.

just ordered a sample and love it!

Thanks ladies! I really appreciate all the feedback! Another question: my ceremony is at the Fox Hollow- it starts at 12:30, CH at 1. Before the ceremony they will have coffee and snacks for those arriving early.

What time should I put on my wedding invitation?

I'm also getting married at the hall, my ceremony starts at 12, CH at 12:30. I put 11:30 on the invites because my hall has a hospitality hour and I'm worried about people coming in late for the ceremony. Met with my officiant last night, and he recommended the ceremony be listed as starting 30 minutes early to allow for latecomers.
