wedding is off

hi ladies i just had to tell u girls about some crazy sh!!!t that happened this weekend! FH and i were getting ready for his cousins wedding. he left to pick up dad and the rest of his fam to take to wedding at the church. i was having a bad day already, my hair wasnt done, my daughter put my makeup all over her dress and i was freakin out like 'oh my god what are u going to wear now'!! so FH calls me and says' the wedding is off' so im thinking ok they might have changed it to another day ( i dont really know. that would have been the 1st wed that i would have ever attended) anyways FH says that the groom went to the brides house WITH the officiant and told her that they were not going to get married. apparently the grooms family never liked her and they must have told him that its either her or us i tell u it was like a funeral that day. everyone was in shock. she cried the whole time. FH and all of the males in the family wanted to loodk for him and kick his asss well deserved u dont do that type of ****. and all the money that was lost jesus i would have been on judge judy crying my eyes out to get every single penny back .that *******

OMG, I am so sorry for her.

Why do people wait until JUST before the wedding or ON the wedding day----INSANE

The fact that his family gave him an ultimatum was also insane. If her loved her, it wouldnt matter what his family thought. What did she ever do that was THAT bad for them to hate her? (rhitorical question)

I obviously dont know the whole story, but its still crazy.

And yeah- I too would be on judge Judy!

OMG!!!! You think there could have been a MUCH better time to tell her or talk about it, Im soooo sorry to hear that. I feel so bad for her. I hope she didnt pay for most of the wedding!

Wow!!! Um yeah, I can kind of relate. My story is not quite so bad, but I have to share it with y'all.

I was engaged in 2001 and we decided to have a two year engagement. We were in his car after a date and were talking. He said he saw us moving towards getting married. This was after only 6 weeks of dating. Normally, I am not so impulsive, but I have to say, I really thought he was THE ONE, so I went with it.

At first I thought he was joking, but the more we talked, I realized he was basically asking me to marry him! So, we decided to wait the two years because we wanted a big wedding and wanted to save the $$$. We also thought people would think we were nuts getting engaged so soon.

So, in the meantime, he was writing out checks to vendors and we planned EVERYTHING! He was going to give me a huge rock a year before and do the whole proposal thing. We never got that far though. He started acting really wierd about 9 months into the engagement. I actually broke it off with him and told him I wanted to take a break because he was making me cry every day.

I told him I would not see him for six months and at the end of that time we would talk and see if we still wanted to get married. I only did this because I was terrified that if I did not give him space, it would definitely be over forever.

During our break, we did not see other people. My best friend died of pneumonia during this time, right after she got back from her honeymoon. She was buried in her wedding gown. Needless to say, it was a horrible time in my life. I had to deal with nosy people asking me when I was getting married or trying to hook me up with someone else while I was waiting for my ex to come back.

Then he did something awful and dumped everything I ever gave him on my porch with a sorry it did not work out, have a nice life note. Can you believe that????????

I was so mad, I took my current fiance (who was my new boyfriend shortly after) on my Honeymoon to Cancun. Then when I found out he got married to some other chicky he barely knew, I took the box of stuff and dumped it on their porch. Made me feel much better!!!!!!

i can't even imagine what the poor girl is feeling right now. how horrible of him to do that to her. i'm sure he had some idea his family felt this way and he waits until their wedding day to bring it up???

that poor girl - but makes you wonder if she's better off ya know

well i kinda laugh at her *** cause she well deserved it!! #1 she kind of forced him. there never was any engagement all i know is that they were getting married.

#3 she is such a hippocrite!! she talks abut everyone in the family that biotch will start hating on me now! and i will be loving it. bad things happent o bad ppl

I can't believe that jerk picked the day of the wedding to call it off! That's messed up.

'Bad things happen to bad people' (So True). If his parents never liked her then getting married isn't going to solve anything but probably make things worse.

now my wedding is next and i better not hear any sob stories from her i will plan with joy and enjoy my planning

It all worked out for the best. You are right. But, I have to say I was really upset for years after that. A broken engagement to a guy you think is your soul mate is heartbreaking. It takes a while to heal.

This poor girl is gonna need a lot of support. I understand how embarrassed and humiliated she must have been. I was embarrassed and humiliated and did not even get dumped at the alter. Why did he have to wait so long to tell her? That is soo pathetic of him! What a coward!!

she sure was so humiliated and embarrassed she had to get a new job cause she had invited some coworkers she was the talk of the office on mondday morning
