You can go at anytime you want to go but remeber the license will expire within 60 days before you get marry so don't go so early...

When I went, the only form of ID they asked me & FH for were our driver license, passport and a credit card (no cash..only money order or credit card is accepted)

If you go to the Brooklyn office be sure to go early because the line gets ridiculous. I got my license there when I remarried and went at opening and there was still a line.
Both my sons went to the Staten Island office and said they were in and out.
Be sure to bring a money order with you for the fee.

I filled out the application on-line and emailed it to them.
They gave me a confirmation# which i brought with us the day of..
Aside from Drivers license- they didnt ask for anything..

It cut out the whole window process of about 20 minutes and the lady at the window was like..Ur my kinda girl..lol cause she didn't have to sit there typing it out...and you don't have to sit there filling it out- u go straight on line..

I highly recommend that if you are doing errands in long island, to go to a town hall out there to get your license. My hubby and I were going to our photographer and went to a town hall near there to get our marriage license.. we were the ONLY people in there.. it took about 20 minutes (to fill out all the paperwork)!! I hear that the city halls in MAnhattan, bronx & brooklyn get CRAZY!!!
So if you can get it done in long island...i would do that!
