Wedding magazines are no longer relevant now that I'm 2 months away!

Wedding magazines are no longer relevant now that I'm 2 months away!

I just went wedding magazine shopping (as part of a more general magazine shopping me and my FI do - we're media junkies), and I realized that they're no longer relevant anymore! I've picked everything and decided most things and the few things I haven't I can't spend $6 on pics when I can find things online.

I'm being so silly, but I really loved looking at the magazines. And now mostly everything is set - I'm a little sad. I'm gonna get major wedding withdrawal after this thing.

FH thinks that when this is all over I wil stop being on this site!!! Yeah, right!! I have to post reviews, and be on the Newlywed board, and then the parenting board some day, and the list goes on and on and on...

But seriously, I was reading wedding magazines from the time I was like 16 and started dreaming about my wedding. Just because everything is done, or because you are married (in a month and a half) doens't mean you have to stop reading the magazines, does it? There's always friends or relatives who will get married after us! Or you can just look for magazines geared towards newlyweds! Do you think there are any?

Thats so true. Last night FI was getting the mail and I could see that there was a thick magazine stuffed in the box. I said, please don't let that be a wedding magazine! I am already second guessing every choice I've made and with 4 weeks left the last thing I want to see is a wedding magazine!

Hey...

Just last week, I was fortunate to get 2 FREE - $6.00 wedding mags..for being patient waiting in Macy's bridal regestry...(I was picking up a gift for another bride).

I can't afford to purchase any wedding magazine right now. I have so much at home, that I still have to go through!!

I have been reading wedding magazines for at least 4 years now - way before I was engaged! I have finally reached the point where I don't really care about them anymore...I don't want to see a dress I like better than mine, and all the planning is pretty much done. I need something new to read! I think the newlywed mag is a great idea!

i agree. after i bought my dress, the magazines really lost a lot of appeal, since most of them are dress adverts. anyway!!

But i still like to read ideas for receptions/favors/OOT bags etc. but you guys provide similar information for free!!

FI was amazed how many mags i read at first. I told him being engaged was a limited time period, so i'm going to enjoy the mags while i can. once he saw it that way, he wasn't so critical of them lol!

I know what you mean. I was so excited to see Martha's new mag, and as I was flippng through it, I realized that it was of no use to me!!
