Wedding Myths & Superstitions ( Pls Share)

Original post by Bee12

Wedding Myths or Truth???

the wedding ring is considered sacred and should not be lent to others to try on, this is sure to bring back luck and even the possibility of unfaithfulness. If ever the wedding rings are removed by a bride it must be the groom who returns them to her fingers to continue the good luck.

ladies @ work keep asking me to take off my ring... i didnt realize the myth above .. i just didnt want anyone to see my FH's inscription under my ring....Plus this isnt SHOW and TELL ... lol

Whats funny about this is that I only take my ering off to shower and whenever FH is around I make him hold on to it and when I get out of the shower I make him put it back on my finger

apparently its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day... but thats an Irish Myth... and they needed to think of something good, cause it rains so much in Ireland! LOL

they say its good luck if it rains when you 'tie the knot' because a wet knot is harder to undo

awww thats cute!

Isn't it 'bad luck' not to consumate the marriage on the wedding night?

A few months ago or so, this caused alot of drama on one of the boards. LOL

I remember that!!

This caused drama???? Oh my goodness! Are you kidding me?

Yeah some girl started a thread and it went something like, 'who's going to do the deed on their wedding night.' And some girls said yes, some girls said they will be too tired. So one girl went on and said something like 'of course, a marriage is doomed to fail if you don't!' And that's when all the drama started. She kept digging herself a bigger and bigger hole. It was hilarious!

ohhh yes, that was good. what a biatch
