Re: Wedding night
We're staying at the Garden City Hotel. I am lucky enough to have a Uncle who helped us with the room. Otherwise it's too expensive. Fh wanted to come home but I talked him out of it. We live in Suffolk and to come back and forth would be silly since we're leaving from LaGuardia the next day.

Re: Wedding night
We are staying at the Garden City Hotel as well. We just got a superior king which is $250 for a Saturday night in Nov. The suites run about $550, which is too much for us to spend!
But then I found out since we are blocking rooms for our guests it drops to $170 a night. I'm going to reserve one of my blocked rooms!!! Can you do that?

Re: Wedding night
We are staying at the Huntington Hilton. We got a nice suite for a good rate since we blocked rooms there. I did not want to go home that night (we already live together). I wanted to stay somewhere to keep the night special. We aren't leaving for the HM until Tuesday so we don't have to worry about that!

Our wedding is on a Friday night. We're spending our wedding night at a bridal suite at the Holiday Inn in Ronkonkoma...it's beautiful! Many of our OOT guests will have rooms there and we're having our friends come there too for an after party at the bar. The bar will stay open until 4am for us. We'll join them for a drink or two before heading to our suite. Saturday we'll say goodbye to our OOT guests, finish packing and leave for our HM Sunday morning.
How many rooms did you reserve and would you mind sharing the price you are paying? I need 25 rooms. Feel free to FM or email me.
Thanks,
Thomas

Re: Wedding night
I have no idea either! We definitely want to stay somewhere - we live together too and want this last bit of whirlwind romance before our HM...and we have to stay somewhere because my mom and sister are staying at our place for the wedding and while we're on the HM so that they could take care of Mr. Blue (my baby on the avatar)...but I'm having a hard time finding a hotel. Do you think we should look in LI (Garden City hotel, Fox Hollow Inn, any other suggestions?) or in Manhattan? We leave for the HM on Sunday from JFK...help! I should probably post this!

Re: Wedding night
I think it will depend, we will have to wait it out and see. If I have a full time teaching position and no tenure we will have to wair a bit for our honeymoon so maybe we will spend just that weekend somewhere. *this is what I am hoping for*
Or perhaps we will just go home and spend the weekend celebrating with our family.
who knows! sorry I guess that didn't help at all but that is what we are doing!

We're staying at the Garden City hotel..if you block rooms there, they'll give you a better deal on the suites, too.
