Wedding Night

Original post by njordan414

Is everyone staying in a 'honeymoon suite' the night of their wedding??? I have rooms blocked at the red roof inn in in westbury, and they dont have honeymoon suites, but we want to stay there since all of our friends are. But is it bad not to have a luxurious room on your wedding night? or really is it just personal opinion??

Re: Wedding Night

We'll be in the bridal suite b/c they gave us a discount b/c we blocked rooms there. Honestly, we're going to be so pooped - who's going to care!!!

Re: Wedding Night

we stayed at home, and even had an after party in our apartment! everything worked out fine, and it was comforting to be in our own bed....

(I should mention that our reception was only a block away, so it wasn't difficult to go home....)

-dies- Is it bad if um you're not even STAYING ina hotel!

We are going right back to our apartment lol after the afterparty because our honeymoon isnt till the 11th of August. We live together now so are just treating it like a big party.

Re: Wedding Night

Its not bad at all...really we got a suite and would have saved ourselves money by getting a regular room...really all you do is sleep in it (and maybe some other stuff) but we didnt use the sink or the refrigerator or sit and eat at the table....so really if you feel its unnecessary then get a regular room

Re: Wedding Night

I would totally stay in a regular room. My hotel happens to have honeymoon suites and it's included in the package if you get married there so I'm taking advantage of it. But your going to be so tired after the wedding and you'll probably hang out with your friends and wont care what your room looks like!

I went home....LOL it was an exhausting day and we only went to sleep anyway so why spend even more money on a room

Re: Wedding Night

in all seriousness......its not necessary. We had one, and we slept in it for about 2 hours.

THe reason I'm glad I had it is b/c I got ready with my BP in it before the wedding; so for that it was worth it.

I'm going home. I want to sleep in my own bed after all that. We will get a HM suite when we actually leave for our HM.

We're gonna go home. FH's parents and sisters will be staying with us (they are from Poland), and my French friend, so we're just gonna go home and call it a night!!!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn with everyone else. I didn't really see the point since the reception ended at 1:30 and we didn't get up to our room until 3

Re: Wedding Night

Hi!
You could sleep in a tent and you'll still feel like the happiest girl in the world.
We were given a free night ih a HM suite at the Roslyn Claremont courtesy of our venue but...
I wouldn't have paid extra for it. We had overdrawn our wedding account the week before!!!

Enjoy your planning....it's the best time of your life.
