How far in advance do you need to make reservations for your wedding night? Does anyone have any suggestions on nice hotels? Preferably in Suffolk County. Thanks so much!

Danfords is right on the water and I believe they have honeymoon/master suites. I remember looking at their wedding packages and the room was included in the price. Being that your reception is at PJCC, its right down the road! Good Luck...

I don't think it's too early to start looking or making a reservation now. You just hold it with a credit card and it gets charged when you check in (unless specified by the hotel). Sorry, I don't have suggestions for Suffolf.

Hi Melissa. I hope your planning is going well. We stayed at Danford's for our wedding, the night before and the night of. We had a wonderful room with a huge balcony overlooking a small beach. They were super nice to us and even had coffe delivered before room service was even open yet! They have several priced rooms but they are all nice. My parents got four rooms for us and each was different in style and size, but they were all beautiful. any questions, let me know. Michele

pricing at Danford`s
I called them last month to get group rates for next October. They said they could only block off 10 rooms, at a rate of $189 per night. If we needed any additional rooms, it would be at the regular rate of over $200. I know it`s a great hotel, but they wouldn`t budge on the price, and I couldn`t ask my guests to spend that much. I think if you block off rooms, you can get the group rate for yourselves, but I`m not positive.

Teri's correct on the pricing...
That's pretty much what my parents paid. We only had four rooms (my parents, us, my MOH & her husband, and my brother) so we neve discussed blocking with them. Our out of towners stayed at the Three Village Inn and the Terryville Motor Lodge (which was very inexpensive, clean and simple). I agree that Danford's is on the pricey side, but for me it was well worth it. I wanted to be close to the PJCC and I wanted plenty of room to get ready. Also we got some beautiful photos on the premises. Hope this helps. micheleWelcome New Vendors
