Wedding Night Concern.....

Wedding Night Concern.....

Is it crazy to pay $499 for a Ambassador Suite at the Inn at East Wind when we wont even be getting there until late at night around 12:30 or on our wedding night?

....Also, the check out time is around 12! I'm surprised they don't let newlyweds stay longer!

Any suggestions or ideas on this issue????

Edited to say: I saw pics of this room and it is AMAZING! I really want to go here but I don't want to feel like I was only there to sleep for $499! I want to enjoy that room!

a part of me says 'it's your wedding night', the other part says-no friggin way. not for $499 a night, and you can't even check out later?

I personally am going home after the reception.

We are staying at Courtyard by Marriot. We got a spa room with king bed for $179. And I requested a late checkout of 2pm. They didn't give me any problems with that. JMO but $499 is insane.

too much money. put the extra money toward a suite on your honeymoon and just stay in a regular room on your wedding night

yeah...I know that is what I was thinking...
it does seem a lot for just a short period of time.....

My reception is at Majestic Gardens and I need to find a very close hotel or else my limo company is going to charge more...

Any suggestions???

Re: Wedding Night Concern.....

WOW I found this...

Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook
$184.00 USD
Average Nightly Rate
3 RM BRIDAL STE KING NONSMOKING

That is a huge price difference.....

Re: Wedding Night Concern.....

Well if you're getting married there you get a room for the night for free. So if that's your case, then do you have to pay the full price for the room or do you just pay the difference in price?

No........

I'm having my reception at Majestic Gardens which also out East....so that is why I was considering the Inn at East Wind.

I wouldn't spend that much! That money can go towards a luxery suite in Mexico or any other get-a-way location. I'd use that money towards my honeymoon instead!

I think it's an additional expense that isn't neccessary.

Have your limo company come back and take you to a resonable hotel. We booked a king spa suite.. It is amazing!! I would search around..good luck!

I think it's a little much since you will barely even be in it.

Wow, now you guys got me rethinking my booking!!!

I have the bridal suite at the Wingate Inn for the night before AND the night of our wedding at $325 per night!!!

Is that too much??

Although I would draw the line with $499!!! For about $100 more, you could stay at the Garden City Hotel!!!

Re: Wedding Night Concern.....

I was looking into the Garden City hotel and they are priced about the same but they said they would extend our check out to 2pm b/c we wouldn't be getting in until about 2am. Can you request a later checkout?
