Well if you're getting married there you get a room for the night for free. So if that's your case, then do you have to pay the full price for the room or do you just pay the difference in price?
You pay the difference...they told us to upgrade for the night to a suite it would be about $300 more...because a room is included. It might be different during the summer though because it's a more popular time.

We went to the ritz and splurged. We also had an afternoon wedding so we were able to get there with anough time to enjoy it.
I look at it like this... it is the one day , the one time where you can and should splurge a little. Go for it! In the grand scheme of things and after everything you are paying out for the wedding, the cost of the room for the night is small in comparison I am sure.

I think that it too much $$ to spend on a room that you won't really be able to enjoy. Like others said, you could spend the $$ on your HM or something else.

I think it is too much money. You can save that extra cash to spend it on your honeymoon. Haven't u spent a load of money already.. I just think its a little steep.

Re: Wedding Night Concern.....
That is high. I'm going to look at the Wingate and want the suite. I'm going to invite my BM to stay with me the night before and my other out-of-town guests will be in the same hotel I choose. We are having an afternoon wedding and are looking to have an after party at the hotel too so the price is worth it in that respect for me. Otherwise, that's crazy. I agree that you should spend it on your HM or just SAVE!! I am giving my surplus right now toward things for my guests and BP. (cars home, paying for make-up etc).

That is a little high-especially if you are going to get the chance to spend time there...just to sleep-they wont let you have a later check out time

You can go to Jamaica and stay at an all inclusive for $549 pp incl. airfare. deal IMO that's an insane price for one night for 12 hours!
