Wedding Night Hotel Suggestions

I booked a block of rooms for my guests at the Huntington Hilton and last weekend FH and I went to check out their suites since we were considering staying there the night after the wedding...

Well, the suites weren't bad, but they also weren't anything special....

Anyone know of any reasonably priced rooms for the wedding night? I don't want anything crazy, but I do want there to be something special about them...

Also, our reception is at the Riviera in Massapequa and we don't want to travel too far from there....

TIA!!!!

Re: Wedding Night Hotel Suggestions

We are staying (and blocking rooms) at the Inn at Plainview (soon to be Four Points Sheraton) on the service road of the LIE (it's just slightly north of the Hilton). They have a beautiful bridal suite... bathroom has a glass enclosed shower.... the room has a plasma flat screen TV, and it has two smaller areas, one with a couch and TV and the other with a nice sized jacuzzi!!! We saw the 'executive suite' at the Hilton as well and it doesn't compare to the Sheraton... Definetly worth checking it out-- and Michael is very helpful!! FM me if you have any questions!

Re: Wedding Night Hotel Suggestions

Im not sure of the prices but I've heard it's suites are beautiful, The Garden City Hotel. We dont know if we will be able to have a honeymoon right away so we opted to stay at the Oheka Castle for like a mini honeymoon.

Re: Wedding Night Hotel Suggestions

We are staying at the Wingate Inn in Garden City, they have a really cute bridal suite. But I have alse heard great things about the Garden City Hotel and the Inn at Fox Hollow. The Marriott was also recommended. Good luck!

We are also staying here and the rooms are beautiful. We looked at every hotel that was on the list from the reception hall (actually this wasn't on it, we just found it by driving by) and the room is just georgeous and so affordable. Nothing else compared to it. It's only about 5 minutes away from the Hilton so you'll be pretty close to your guests.

Re: Wedding Night Hotel Suggestions

We stayed at the Hilton suite and it was very nice, but like you said nothing special.

I also looked at the Sheraton which was REALLY nice, the only reasonw e didn't book there was because it wasn't done being built and looked like a dump from the outside, plus there was no bar or restaurant inside yet.

IMO, I'm glad we didn't make too big a deal on the hotel room for the weddign night, because to be honest with you, by the time we made it there at 5am we were absolutely EXHAUSTED and pretty much fell right into bed. Of course it was nice waking up to each other the next morning and those couple of hours together. We also had a lot of people stying at the hotel with us and wanted to continue celebrating with them.

Just another point of view.....
