Wedding night plans fell through....need a place to stay!!
Hi all. As some of you might remember, we were supposed to spend our wedding night (a Sunday) at my aunt's beach house in the Hamptons...turns out that her regular house will be under construction so she will have to stay at her beach house that week. Which means I have only 27 days to find a hotel. I only need it for one night, because we leave for Jamaica the following night.
Any suggestions for a hotel/inn in Suffolk or out east? My mom called the Sheraton in Smithtown and Wyndham (windham?) in Happague...are either of these nice? We got a pretty decent rate at the Wyndham for the honeymoon suite. Please offer suggestions! Thank you sooo much!melissa

What about the Hampton Inn or the Raddison?

Try Danford's in Port Jeff. I've stayed there many times with my FH and love it. They have a great suite overlooking the water that is incredible (with fireplaces) or you can get a village view room (which is less $) and still great! There also is Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. They have great cottages overlooking the water and their prices can be reasonable (for what they are).
Good luck!

We're staying at the new Courtyard By Marriott in Ronkonkoma right off the expressway for our wedding night. It's $199 for the night which includes a jacuzzi.

We are all staying at the Wyndam the night of our wedding (meaning my family, his family, us, many of our guests). It is a very nice hotel.

For my wedding night I had the Old Field Suite at the Holiday Inn at Stony Brook- the room was absolutely beautiful. Three rooms- living room, with glass french doors leading into the bedroom which had a king sized sleigh bed, and the other room was a jacuzzi. Highly recommended!

I agree with Kelly, Danfords is really nice. We are staying there the night of our wedding. Right on the water, beautiful rooms. It has more atmosphere than a regular hotel room.

I also agree - Danfords is really nice. You could also try the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook Village.

Hey Melissa, I am leaving also for my Honeymoon on the 26th to Jamaica. Where are you staying in JA and what airline you taking? We are staying at the Beaches Royal Plantation. The night before we leave we will be staying near JFK. I don't want to wake up and have to travel an hour to JFK so early int the morning.
