Okay so I have had FOUR wedding nightmares so far and they are all dress related. I should prob add that I'm a little anxious for my dress to come in b/c I had a few changes made to it but just for laughs I wanted to share my wierdness.
Dream 1 - I am racing around Long Island on the morning of my wedding trying to find a corset/bra to wear under my dress b/c I forgot to get one and the only store that was opened had the most hideous looking thing that was way too big for me. (this one wasnt too bad)
Dream 2 - My heel is stuck in my dress for the majority of the night and NO ONE will help me get it out so I am continuously ripping my dress
Dream 3 (my personal fave) - I go to be fitted for my dress for the first time and its pretty close to the wedding. Well not only is the color wrong for my dress but the train now has a HUGE navy blue ribbon weaved in and out of it as well as Christmas Ornaments (that's right ORNAMENTS) sewn into the train here and there. To top it all off my mom is trying to convince me that its ok and no one will notice b/c she doesnt want to have to buy me a whole new dress
Dream 4 (which I just had last night) - It's the day of my wedding and I'm getting to put my dress on for the first time and its not even a wedding gown - It's a little white sundress!!!! And I'm crying in the middle of the bridal shop saying how I dont look like a bride at all while all of these other girls around me are dancing and twirling in their gowns in front of the mirrors So one girl who feels bad for me offers to give me her dress because she is prob going to end up calling off her wedding anyway - but her dress is made out of couch fabric
Anyone else have these types of wierd dreams or am I the only one with a vivid subconscious imagination?!?!
I'm thinking there should be a wedding nightmare thread started

I have nightmares every time I go through another step of planning the wedding. It drives me crazy. The last few nights its been the flowers. FH thinks I am out of my mind...I might be.lol!!!

All of my nightmares have been about my dress too and lo and behold, I ended up ordering a dress that I don't like don't worry though, i'm sure I was just a fluke..wierd stuff like that always happens to me

I had another nightmare last night. Mine was probably due to the budget i was preparing for the wedding. The words Budget and wedding shouldn't even go in the same damn sentence. I was silently freakin out about the money that we will have to dish out each month until July.
So of course my nightmare was about me having a low budget wedding. I was waitressing my own reception while wearing a big puffy white dress. I woke up right after i had finished washing my guests dishes.

i've had a few nightmares lately and i don't usually dream. the first was my hair wasn't done, the next my makeup wasn't done and the last was they ordered the wrong dress!! Hopefully they are all just in my dreams!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally have them!! Mine have been that I forgot to buy a veil, that I didn't shower yet, and that I forgot to book my hair and makeup person, and all of a sudden it's time to walk down the aisle, and i have to go veilless, unshowered, with no makeup, and greasy hair!!

at least your dress is in your dream..ive had dreams i should up naked to the wedding, and the dress wasn't ready, didn't fit or was stained!!!

Oh it will be ok! Don't worry!! I've had some dress nightmares but the most ridiculous one was one I had a few months ago. For some reason, my dress was in my car when I went to work (at the mall). In my dream FH had to come to get it out of my car (I don't know why) and then someone stole it from him. I was like crying and yelling at him when I found out but I think I was more upset that he had seen the dress! These dreams are so stressful!

I can totally relate....I had things custom done to my dress that I hate about the sample and I dream that they dont get done and I have to wear the sample! Which has sleeves and pleats I hate!!!

I have those dreams all the time. Apparently whatever im concerned about I dream about. Ive dreamt about not having my hair and makeup done and the ceremony is about to start. I didn't have any shoes because I forgot to buy them. My favorite was the DJ trying to get people on the dancefloor and no one moved and just stood in their seats.

i have tons of wedding nightmares.....
some are really bad and i wake up crying my eyes out and wanna wake up FH but i feel bad cuz he works so hard and it is just a dream
had one the FH got wasted b4 the ceremony and i didnt want to get married until he was sober....
another, no one showed to the wedding cuz it was snowing, and by that i mean a few flurries in the air everyone said it was too far to drive in all the snow(keep in mind i am getting married upstate where it always snows alot but not in sept!
Dont worry we are all in the same boat with you, just remember your day will turn out wonderful and they are just dreams!!!!

I JUST started getting nightmares and my dream is always the same. The Reception room is a complete disaster from the party before us, and I HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP! I'm in my dress and all ready to go, cleaning up table after table and sweeping the floor.
It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out!

I had a dream a while ago in which I was wearing a black and white polka dot dress instead of my wedding dress. At the time I had the dream, I was really worried about people dressing appropriately for a day wedding and also having fun - so these next two parts I KNOW are related to my fears in this department - I dreamt that everyone there was wearing jean shorts, cargo pants or hoodies, and I also dreamt that the bar was OUTSIDE the room, like, in a large foyer, so everytime anyone wanted a drink, they had to go out to the hallway / foyer. Also in this dream, as I walked to the back on my reception room, it became a big field, and everyone was hanging out on the grass, which I also attribute to me thinking it won't be formal enough.
I had another dream that on the morming of my wedding, I had to pick up something (my dress? not sure) in westbury - i live in huntington but getting ready at my parents' house in wantagh - and I think I took a limo there but had to run back??? WEIRD.

omg..
i had my first wedding nightmare a couple of weeks ago.. it was the day of and i didn't like my dress and finally everyone convinced me to put it on.. my hair wasn't done, my makeup wasn't done.. and FH was already waiting at the altar
and the weird part is, i sometimes postpone my meetings.. if i am running a bit late or something, or didn't get my deliverables ahead of time.. and i can't believe that i was asking someone to reschedule it for 1/2 hour later.. i don't what's more scarier, me associating my wedding as a business meeting, or not being ready??
