I would not call, if they want you or anyone to know they will tell I mean, what if he is NOT going to war and one of them cheated on each other wont you feel weird if they answer something you totally didnt expect to hear

I would NOT call. If this bride or groom wants to discuss the matter then they will let you know. You can send a card that says I am here for you if you need to talk. But this is a private matter.

I feel bad for this couple. I have to say, I wouldn't call. The fact that you got a letter saying the wedding was off, not a personal phone call indicates to me that they do not want to talk about it right now. so sad.
